Local Lakes

Picnic Lake is located just a few miles east of Edam on 674. It’s a beautiful little recreational lake with a family beach area for swimming, family picnics and fishing. Picnic Lake is stocked yearly with perch and trout which will give you a great fishing experience for you or your family. Whether your fishing in a boat or along the shore they are always biting so grab your tackle and come on out. Picnic Lake is a small lake but there is always room for boat to go water skiing, tubing or wakeboarding etc.

Murry Lake is connected to the east side of Jackfish Lake through a small river. You can get to Murry Lake by making your way to Meota and then going east towards Metinota. Keep going east until you hit Highway 4. Head North towards Cochin and Murry Lake will be located on the right side of the road.

Turtle Lake is located North East of Turtleford. This is a great well known lake for fishing as well and hanging out with your family at the beach for the day. If you are fishing Turtle Lake you will have the experience of catching a variety of fish such as Jackfish, Pickerel and Whitefish.
